Mike Basich has always been on his own program--from the early days of backcountry freestyle to living out of his van in AK and his current pursuits with Area 241 (see frequency TSJ Issue 7.1), he continues to quietly pursue a life in snowboarding that few can match. And he recently released a film called "Open Space: The Untold Stories of Mike Basich", to 40 or so stoked individuals at his 241 cabin. Check it out on Mike’s site--it's definitely worth watching the story of one of snowboarding's pioneers.
