Lynchburg, VA – Liberty University the self proclaimed “largest and fastest growing Christian Evangelical university in the world,” is bringing a busted-finger phenomena to the US for the first time: Snowflex. Previously the privilege of UK riders and little more, Snowflex is a carpeted surface optimized for shredding, which can be ridden year round—it takes rock solid park kickers to a whole new level.

Features at the Liberty Snowflex Center, which is set to open at the end of August, will include an 11-foot quarter, a couple rails, two kickers, and an “extreme tube chute”, which I’m guessing is something like a halfpipe. Could we see an influx of Brits to Lynchburg for Snowflex-based shreducation? Will Virginia become the new hotspot for southern park shreds? Only time will tell…
