A couple of unexpected surprises occurred at the end of the season this year: an extended week of lift served (albeit reduced to 2 lifts operating from 11AM to 5PM) and a total storm accumulation of 2 feet for the last Saturday and Sunday! I figured this was as good a time as any to put down the camera pack and get some freshies. But being the photo nerd I am I still brought the pocket cam out for a ride. Big thanks to the Telluride Ski Resort for another incredible season.

Looks like winter again. The day before this was completely brown and almost ready for the mountain board kooks.

Why ride untracked freshies when you ride someones else’s tracks?

After the pow on the runs is mowed down for the bump-jocks, it's time to take to the woods.

A common sight at the top of the chairs is piles of packs. When you see this it means get to the backcountry gate before they do.

Unknown soldier tasting what is normally forbidden fruit. One good thing about the ski area when its closed is the ability to legally ride a ton of super-sick lines separated from you by a rope indicating a Federal closure.
