Premature Jibulation

Muddy ground + straw + 20,000lbs of shaved ice = radness.

For the second year in a row Rome Snowboards and The Summit at Snoqualmie have kicked off the season...even if the season wasn't ready yet, with Premature Jibulation. 200 shred-ready kids arrived around the crack of noon to catch up with friends, eat burnt hot dogs and ride a little box. Local heads Austin Hironaka, Ivan Marcinko and Austen Sweetin were on-hand sliding around with shreds who haven't made turns since last spring. The action was a dirty, non-stop snake session, and when the snow melted the local Rome reps hooked up three riders with some product. as pictured, they got to stand on quite possibly the sweetest pallet-podium of all time. Thanks to The Summit at Snoqualmie and Rome Snowboards for starting it off right. Now let's get some snow.
