The Silverton Story

Local Scott Smith takes us on a fantastic voyage with Silverton founders Aaron Brill and Jenny Ader. With a simple belief that snowboard areas can be more than parking lots, icy grooming and pricey lift tickets, these two visionaries ran a chair straight up into the Colorado high country with no plans to expand for the country's only guided and lift-serviced truly backcountry area.
